Ranger

A donation was made in memory of Ranger by the doctors and staff at Yakima Valley Veterinary Clinic on Aug 05, 2022.

Ranger Danger, as he was called at home, came to us from a no-kill shelter, Teller County Regional Animal Shelter, in 2004. He looked like a little vampire with black lips and long canines, we affectionately referred to him often as the vampire cat. He would run down the hallway after you, which was one of his unique traits. He also enjoyed being held and dancing in the living room.

He lived a full cat life, being both indoor and outdoors. One day when living in Colorado we saw him trotting up the driveway with a big object in his mouth, it was a HARE (unharmed)! He was a good mouser, enjoyed wet food as a treat, and handled car rides like a champ!

He was part of our household for 18 years, he was 19 or 20 when he passed - he is missed and his memory will dance with me in the living room eternally.

In the final days of his life after having him all those years, the decision was easy to be with him at night for support, so I slept on the couch with him when he could barely stand, holding his paw and letting him know I was there.
