Shadow
A donation was made in memory of Shadow on May 09, 2011.
Our beloved Shadow entered our lives in fall of 1994 as a 3 month old puppy and passed away in February 2011. She provided our
family with 16 wonderful years of love. Shadow was and still is a beautiful girl. It didn't take long for Shadow to settle into our
home and in our hearts. When we brought Shadow home, our kids quickly learned what an Australian Blue Heeler was all about. They
quickly learned not to be rambunctious in the house or Shadow would herd them by nipping on their heels. Shadow did not like the
chaos. When the phone rang it meant to chase the cat. When the door bell rang it meant chase the cat. When the vacuum was on
it meant to jump at the vacuum. Things did settle down and she stopped chasing the cat and stopped getting the vacuum. Shadow loved
going to the dog park and up until the end she still went. It was so beautiful watching Shadow run because she ran so graceful, running
like a deer. When Shadow was 6 years old, we brought home a new puppy, a 2 month old beagle. Shadow and Copper got along right away. Even though Shadow didn't have puppies she on mother's instinct would looked after Copper. She would lick and clean him after he came out of the rain and watched after Copper. At the dog park, Shadow would love to chase after Copper. Copper would wander on ahead smelling everything and we would say Shadow go get Copper, and Shadow would run so graceful and playfully tackle Copper. It was just so fun to watch. As Shadow got older the chasing slowed down but our memories of it will always remain. Copper lost his best buddy and friend of 10 years. We all greatly miss Shadow and she will be forever in our hearts. Thank you Shadow for giving us 16 beautiful years.
