KNICKERS 2000-2017
The most beautiful Ragdoll came to the door,
Tired and hungry, in need of a snore.
He slept for two days and when he awoke,
He seems quite happy with his new folk.
We looked for his owners, but he had no chip,
We named him Knickers and he joined our ship.
We lived in the city which was his domain,
Had four corners he defended and claimed!
Seventeen summers he spent at the lake,
What a great beach cat he did make.
He checked out the docks, boat and seadoos,
What he was up to, only he knew.
He patted the turtles, who dozed in the sun,
And sat on the bird houses just for fun.
He visited the neighbors, and got a few pets,
And protected the lake property with all his zest.
He loved climbing the ladder to the high sleeping loft,
With a view and a comforter, ever so soft.
He played with toy mouses and threw them high in the air
Then put them to sleep, under a chair.
He taught us his own funny little game,
Which was only played on his time frame,
Catch of the day caught by friend fisherman Bill,
Was a Waitts Lake trout which was Knickers favorite fill.
Seventeen years filled with LOVE and much fun,
We're all so sad, now that he's gone.
But once in a while, out of the corner of your eye,
There he goes . . . just walking by.
