George Bailey If you’re lucky, you’ll have a dog in your life that is your soul dog, and George was mine. I adopted George at 24 and to say he changed my life is putting it mildly. I went from living alone in San Diego to having a buddy, we ran together, we hiked together, we spent days off at dog beach, He got me out of my depressive anxiety cycle and out exploring. I met Michael and George was apart of our growing relationship. He was the best dog. He was always down for an adventure or laying in bed all day and the most trusting dog and would do any crazy thing I asked of him even though he had a rough start. And I truly cherish all those life experiences I shared with him because those are the moment that made me into the person I am today. He was the best to go on road trip because he adapted so well- going hiking in Tahoe, to running errands in Napa, to running off leash with me to the beach in OB, to sunsets in big sur, to boat rides at the river, to swimming after balls for hours, moving across states, to walking down the aisle at our wedding and meeting our baby. I was the annoying person that where ever I went George came too. I truly don’t know how to even move forward without him in my life. I hope dog heaven is a beautiful beach at sunset and endless Kong squeaky balls. And in a weird way I feel like in a way I’m saying goodbye to the part of my life where I found myself and George was there for all of it. I wish I could do it all again. 💔💔💔💔 Courtney and George the real love story.
