I adopted Savina when she was just 2 months old from the Seattle Humane Society after being diagnosed with major depression disorder and having a hard time coping without my sister. When I chose her (or when she made me choose her), her only remaining sister was being plucked from their cage for adoption. I didn't want her to feel alone and chose her. She had been there for me for 10 long and hard years. She would always grab my head between her paws and bite my head whenever I was upset, she'd cuddle up to me every single night, and make me remember that I was loved and never alone while she was here with me. Her last 4 months of life were full of warm cuddles, soaking in the sun in all of her favorite spots that she'd walk me to, and many reminders of how much I love her. I would feed soft foods to her several times a day when hard food got difficult, wash her face and legs when she drooled, and so much more. She was born 07/07/09 and passed away from SCC on 07/22/19. Her last day was full of love and we spent most of the day outside together in the sun, enjoying the birds and the soft breezes, as well as the company of each other. She was, and still is, so incredibly loved and no animal or being I've ever met has ever come close to how amazing she truly was. She was my sunshine and I miss that sunshine so very much.
