Orson was our first dog. From the time we held him at 16 weeks, to a life cut short at 3 1/2 years, we loved every moment God granted us with him. Every day we he was with us, he brought light, happiness, love, laughter, moments and memories - we were so thankful he entered our lives. He touched so many lives while he was here; he was amazing. It devastated us to see him sick with something we could not help him fight, but we slept near him every night, cared and held him for as long as we could in his last days. We were thankful for the extended time God granted us with him. Up until the end he remained beautiful, proud, strong, loyal, and brave. As he faced his final hour, he stood with us and went in to the hospital, walking on his own. As we spent the last moments with him, and watched him take his last breath, we knew we did the right thing by helping him pass comfortably, quietly, with dignity and respect; but most importantly, with his loved ones near.

-- We hope wherever he is now, he is free from disease, with his own kind, running endlessly through fields and streams during a mild summer...thinking of his parents here when he catches his breath. We loved him and hope to see him again, someday.
