GG

A donation was made in memory of GG by Drs. Burhenn and King at Feline Medical Clinic on May 02, 2022.

GG was a two-way rescue - I rescued her and she rescued me. When I bought my home, the first thing I did was contact a friend who was involved in feral cat rescue. I provided my friend with my wants/needs for a cat: adult, neutered, female. A cat who fit those criteria has been picked up the previous day! After the initial settling in period and getting to know each other, I discovered GG was very smart and very loving and well-mannered. She didn't get on the counters or climb drapes and never missed her litter box. It took us two years for her to tolerate getting her claws clipped, but we made it. She learned to sit, sit up, dance, come, and, occasionally when she was feeling like it, would stay when asked (for short time). She went outside only 3 times during the 14 years I had her. Each time she was chased back into the house by spraying her lightly with the hose. She decided a shower wasn't worth going outside for. She leaves a huge hole in my heart. But her old age infirmities became too much for her to tolerate. One morning she decided she was ready for her walk over the rainbow bridge and I let her go knowing that she deserved to feel healthy and pain-free again. She was loved and pampered and will be forever missed. GG! I miss you!
