Maxwell

A donation was made in memory of Maxwell by Doctors and Staff of the North End Veterinary Hospital on Jul 30, 2010.

First of all, I'd like to thank Drs. Vollmar, Dudley, and Brown at North End Pet Hospital for contacting WSU and going so far as to give a monetary donation in honor of Maxwell. I use to joke that Maxwell (Max for short) "Hayman" was part cat, part rabbit - he had large white paws, especially his back legs, and where completely pink on the pads. I do and will miss him dearly, he was a very loving cat who slept partially using my pillow at night, he was like family to me.

Comments: Maxwell was/is a most amazing cat friend. I remember sharing that moment with Elizabeth at the shelter. We searched high and low among all of the hopefuls that day, but of course when she found Max, the search was over. He was perfectly yellow, perfectly happy -- and perfectly Elizabeth's newfound cuddle buddy & friend -- and remained ever so happy sharing her home and bed thru the many years after that. I share Elizabeth's enthusiasm for male ginger cats. They are most affectionate to their owners -- and always full of curiosity as to what their people are doing (and whether it involves food). Max was no exception in this regard. It is difficult saying goodbye to such a good friend. The best cats live on in the people whose lives they touch -- Max was definitely that kind of cat. Unforgettable, sweet -- and just the right amount of mischievousness (perhaps not so different from his owner in this regard). :) love, yarrow
