Abby,

It has been almost two months since you left us. We miss you so much....your wagging tail, smiling face, yellow hair, singing to the harmonica, and your "talking." Your buddies Carly and Gracie look for you and won't touch your ball. They miss you, too.

You were a huge part of our family. You never spent a night in a kennel because we took you everywhere. Besides our home in Washington, you went to Canada, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and Wyoming. You loved sleeping in our tent. On one of our trips (three years ago) you got sick. We were in Buffalo, Wyoming for the night. A young vet right out of vet school did surgery on you for a twisted stomach. We could have lost you then. We left you with her for four days because we had an emergency at home, also. You were wagging and ready to come home when we went for you. You were our miracle puppy.

You loved to play frisbee and ball and you loved the creek behind our house. We miss you in the yard because you loved to help with the yard work. You loved eating berries off the bushes. You hated squirrels after one
grabbed your lip one time. That's the only thing we know of that you didn't like.

Cancer. What a monster! We tried to keep you with us as long as possible. You were such a trooper. Radiation and chemo and lots of drugs at home. Trips back and forth to WSU and finally a catheter to help you out. You never complained or fought any treatment. You went in wagging and came out wagging. You loved the vets at WSU especially Dr. Tucker and Dr. Anderson. Your friends at Lewiston Vet Clinic, Dr. Hoch and Dr. Wagner were great, too. They all loved you. You loved the biscuit jar on the counter at WSU. We had to run to keep up with you when you ran for the door to get into the clinic. Everyone was so great to you and to us.

We miss you, Abby. Eleven and one-half years went way too quickly. Rest in peace under that yellow rose bush, back by your old buddy Cami, in the back yard. Someday, we will be together again. We love you!

Tom, Karen, Valerie, Melissa, and Randy (Carly and Gracie, too)
