Jasmine's Story:
I refer to her as my first born as she had been with me longer than anyone else in my home. I adopted her at twelve weeks old and little did I know she would change my life. She saw me through moves, marriage, divorce, marriage again, children, cancer and more ups and downs than I can count.... never once leaving my side. She knew when I was down and how to cheer me up. She frequently made us laugh. She may have aged physically over time, but in her mind she was always that rambunctious two-year old awaiting the next car ride, trip to the dog park, playtime at the beach or any adventure we were able to take her along to. She was the most patient and tolerant dog I had ever met or known. I trusted her with my kids and every child she came in contact with loved her as much as we did. She had the most soulful eyes, like this wasn't her first lifetime and experience lead her to know exactly what you were feeling. She was beautiful. I am a better person for the twelve years that we had together and I am so thankful for having found her. I am grateful that she is no longer hurting and can now be at peace, but I don't think I will ever stop missing her. On August 30th I didn't just lose a dog, I lost a friend, a companion, a very special part of my family. She owns a huge part of my heart forever. I love you Jazzygirl!
Thank you for posting my story and for having a place to Memorialize Pets.
