One day, we went looking for a puppy and were swarmed by about 13, playing and chasing around. I decided on a quiet little girl and started to go, when I felt something around my feet. There was a little brown puppy tugging on my shoelace. Needless to say, we left that day with Mocha. As my husband loved to say “there has never been a dog who loves me as much as Mocha.”

Her health began to fail rather quickly over a 3-week period of time and she died at the age of 12-1/2. We like to think that she simply wore herself out. You see, she lived every day of her life with such unbridled joy, never wasting a minute of it. That is the lesson she left us with – live life to the fullest because it is over way too soon.

We understand that Desert Veterinary Clinic made a monetary donation on Mocha’s behalf. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Dr. Benson and the wonderful staff there for the loving care she was given, not only during her life, but at the end of it.
