Buddy was a rough, feral tom who came to our door several years ago. He established a routine of coming in the pre-dawn hours for his wet food and again in the evening for his dish of cream. Rough as he appeared he was a kind soul who looked after his kittens, standing guard while they ate his food and who came running if they got into trouble. I still find myself looking for him early in the mornings. He is greatly missed. Buddy was an extraordinary cat.
