Inky came to us as a three month old kitten, having been in foster care for the first three months of his life. We went to the humane society "just to look" at the black kittens. We were put in a room with Inky, "Slim" was his name at the time. That little guy knew how to work it! He was lovely, did his head butt, and purred. We went from thinking this little guy will easily get adopted, to thinking we should put a hold on him, to taking him home that day. He was such a wonderful addition to our little family. He joined sister Aurora who came to us four months earlier. They didn't bond right away but with time they loved each other. He loved to snuggle, loved to be pet. He would fall all over himself just trying to get love.
Inky was 16 when we lost him. A long, mostly healthy life filled with love. He was a happy kitty, always purring and tail straight up. He comforted us when we lost Aurora and went through other hard times. It was so very difficult losing him, but we know he is up in heaven, reunited with his sister who he had missed for nine months. He was one of the best kitties we've ever known and together with his sister made our lives complete. Mommy and daddy love you Inky, buddy, Boo Bear.
