A donation was made in memory of Boo by

I was supposed to take care of Boo temporarily while her owner was living with someone allergic to cats. When I tried to return her, she somehow squeezed herself into the space between the dishwasher and the floor in the hotel room we were meeting at and refused to move. The previous owner had to get on their flight and the hotel maintenance had to take apart the dishwasher. We all decided she wanted to stay with me, so she stayed for the next 10 years. Boo loved food, treats, warm spaces like the electric blanket and sunbathing, laser pointers, toys and cuddles, but most of all, food. She was 19 pounds when she came to me but I was able to get her down to 13- still fat, and still got treats, but not too unhealthy. Her favorite foods were fried chicken from the convenience store, popcorn with nutritional yeast, and somehow, she always got into my dang Indian food whenever I ordered takeout. She was a fighter and I tried everything I could to save her when she got cancer - surgery, chemo, lots of medications-but the cancer was too aggressive, and she passed away at home with me at age 12. I love you forever Boo and I miss our cuddles and fried chicken nights together.
