With her owner facing major surgery and a prolonged recovery, Casa Cato Lhotse Samantha, blind, suffering from severe arthritis and failed kidneys, was very gently put to her final rest on April 1, 2014. Of an unbroken 60 years of household companions, she was the gentlest of all our cats. Never in her 19 years did she ever scratch or bite any human or other animal and was always at our side. She will be very fondly remembered.
