Ariel was my first pitbull that I adopted when she was 7 1/2 months old. I was hesitant to get her at first because I had fed into the false media claims about her breed. She turned out to be the best dog I could ever ask for. She was perfect in every way. I took her everywhere I could before she got sick and she returned her love for me thousand fold. It was very unfortunate that she got sick and could not recover due to a reaction from a rabies vaccine. Putting her down because she was suffering was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I loved her like she was my daughter and even though I feel like I did the right thing it doesn't make it any easier. I will never forget her and I will chastise anyone who claims pitbulls are a dangerous breed of dog.
