I met Maddie as a 12 week old shelter puppy with a broken elbow. Despite the fracture she wiggled in my lap and licked my face. It was love at first kiss. Maddie loved coming to the veterinary hospital all her life, whether it was for routine care, being the orthopedic exam demo dog, or having her physical rehabilitation. She had to train every new front desk worker as to who she was. Outside of the hospital she loved being outside, whether it was walks, short hikes, skiing, or just hanging out in the yard. She lived to the ripe old age of 16 years and 7 months and loved life to the last.
