Cocoa came to us as almost a rescue dog. The owner who lived in an apartment with two small children realized she needed more space and an opportunity to thrive. She was a great companion to everyone in the family for 16 years, but had a special bond with our grandson. She was a source of great comfort to him after his mother died. The only time she was allowed to sleep on the bed was when he came to visit. Cocoa was a wonderful hunter and friend and is missed by everyone in the family, particularly her two canine "sisters" Lexi and Lizzie.
