Ava was a beloved member of our family and will be dearly missed. She was feisty, energetic, and absolutely loved to swim. When we spent time at the lake she could stay in the water for hours swimming. Her favorite part of swimming was trying to bite her own splashes. She was attacked by a dog when she was three years old and lost one of her eyes, but it didn’t slow her down one bit. She continued to be the same cantankerous, upbeat dog as always. She was so loved, and will remain in our hearts forever. I hope she is on the other side of the rainbow bridge, with her sight fully intact, swimming to her little hearts content. RIP Ava.
