Moka

A donation was made in memory of Moka by Donald Cox, DVM MPH on Mar 19, 2025.

Moka was two years old when she was abandoned with her kitten at a kill shelter in Florida. She was rescued and fostered by Siamese Rescue. I fell in love with her online videos and flew to Florida to adopt her. Over the 12 years she lived with us, she became more and more relaxed, trusting, and loving. She was a "body-cat", so happy to be lying on my chest while I rubbed her belly. She was very interactive and communicated by looking right into my eyes. She loved daily routines, and let me know if I was deviating from her expectations. She could also read my moods, and was right there to cuddle if I needed comforting. I am very grateful to Dr. Donald Cox and the staff at Connecticut Veterinary Center for their care over the years. I was really, really sad when Moka died of intestinal cancer this year at the age of 14. She was a good cat and I miss her.
