A donation was made in memory of Punkin on
Dec 20, 2012.
Punkin came into our lives from a wonderful service that domesticates feral cats. She was an extraordinary gift to us, bringing my husband and me immeasurable joy, love and laughter for many years. She adored my husband, sitting on his lap at every opportunity, and sleeping on his pillow every night. When my husband passed away a few years ago, she, along with our other cat, provided me unbelievable compassion and support and soon became my constant companion and source of comfort. She loved me rubbing her tummy and fell asleep on my hand every night.
A couple of years ago, Punkin was diagnosed with a heart murmur. While she was expected to still experience good health, it was anticipated her life may be shortened because of this condition. When she was barely 11 years old, we had to say goodbye to her, much earlier than I ever anticipated. I didn’t think I could ever feel as much pain as I did when I lost my husband, but losing Punkin was equally devastating.
It is impossible to describe how much my other cat, Little Girl, and I miss Punkin every day. She will forever remain in our hearts and I pray she is now at peace with my beloved husband, Mac.
