Amelia was as much as a human cat (only the GOOD human parts) as can be. Those very special kitties that trust you and cooperate in their treatment … for no real reason that a cat should … but they do … those are the ones that are so hard to lose. My problem with a loss like this is knowing that .. while there can be other very special cats … there won’t be another just like THIS cat… and they each contribute to a different hole in your heart…. She lived 3 years past original expectations. For that we are extremely grateful. Her care was a big lesson. She trusted us, was very brave and courageous, did not complain or put up a fuss with all the poking and prodding for blood glucose testing, and daily ringer solution. She was a dream. She communicated clearly, understood whole sentences, and trusted us completely. The void is overwhelming.
