HER NAME

How she got it, you may find interesting. I am an avid stock market nut and was trading a stock called Oncolytics. We had gotten the kitten several days before and still contemplating a name.

I had placed an order for stock, I do not recall if it was buy or sell, and by closing market, it had only partially executed, which I hate. I walked in the kitchen and said something like "My order for ONCY only partially executed, darn it" and my wife answered, "THAT'S IT", and I "What's IT", and she said, "the kittens name, it will be ONCY".

And so, it was. I contacted the company and told them the above and they asked permission to print my letter in their newsletter to employees. Of course I granted it.

ONCY weighed about 12/13 pounds, yet she was a food hound, eating everything that you could spell "food". She had arthritis to the extent, I gave her an injection monthly, and a thyroid issue where she got a gel/paste in the skin of her ears twice a day. She truly hated to have her nails trimmed but I got it done by rolling her in a blanket with her feet sticking out! We miss her dearly.

P.S. Oncy is the cat sleeping between my knees :)
