Fat Boy

A donation was made in memory of Fat Boy by Doctors and Staff of Desert Veterinary Clinic on Jan 29, 2010.

Hello, my name is Fatboy and my family had to say goodbye to me December 23, 2009, after only 4 ½ yrs. When I ventured outside I would make sure my family was safe from a feral cat that would come into our yard. With all my strength I would fight him off. Doing that …I got Feline Aids. It took my life and my mommy is making sure that other pet owners are aware of this disease.

I love my family so much and I will miss them. My mommy was the best! She would give me so many hugs and kisses and always made sure I was safe. She would even take time to get up in the middle of the night to let me out and made sure I was in with breakfast in my bowl before she got ready for work. Also, she would always make me a path in the snow so my feet would not get so wet. I was really spoiled.

I loved when my daddy would go outside and work in the yard. Whenever he would dig a hole…I was in there playing GI Joe. I would peek over the edge waiting for someone to attack. Since I was mommy’s boy, daddy always liked when I would sit downstairs with him and play with the helicopter. I had so much fun with him.

Most of all I will miss my best friend Nathen. He was a true buddy. My mommy did not know this until I was gone, but Nathen would take me on adventures to the store and get tacos late at night. It was a lot of fun. He would even share his pizza box with me. One day he left his car window down and I took a nap in his back window. I am sure there are other things that my mommy does not know about. Nathen, I will miss you everyday…but always remember that you are the best buddy anyone can have.

Fatboy… You have shared a special life with us and we will always miss you!

Kandi, Nathen and Chris

Comments: I was Fat Boy's babysitter whenever his family went traveling so we became great friends. Sometimes he would greet me at the door and other times he would lounge around waiting for me to come to him. He was a beautiful cat and very well cared for and it was fun to see the pictures of him playing in the backyard. He will be missed! Kathyu
