Comments: I have known Kay for many years, since we both first commiserated and supported each other about our respective rottweilers, both of whom had been diagnosed with cancer. I have admired Kay ever since for her unbridled love of her dogs and her willingness to go the distance with each one, insuring that they have both quality of life and the opportunity to enjoy it if she has anything to say about it. I could tell, however, that China extra special to Kay. China was the dog that got Kay back into the obedience and agility ring with a renewed purpose and sense of self. Her time in the ring was quite short, however, as China quickly passed all the tasks given her! She was a dog that loved to please. Kay and China fit together like hand in glove. We still lamented that fact that rotties seem to inevitably die of cancer, and perhaps this little Australian shephed was the one to go the whole nine yards with her. That it didn't turn out like this seems unbelievably unfair, as China succumbed to intestinal lymphoma way too early in her life. Kay and I believe that all of our pets that have passed will be waiting for us somewhere, someday. I fully expect China to be the lead dog, guiding the way through various obstacles(with perfect heeling and straight sits), opening the gate, hopping over a rail, and welcoming all who cross the Rainbow Bridge.
