Bess: The Best Dog Ever

We have had many pets over the years, but Bess left the deepest impression in our hearts and her joyful presence will be greatly missed in our lives. Bess has the most wonderful spirit of any dog we have ever known. She sought out excitement with every opportunity in life and had a way of making everyone feel like they were her favorite person. She was the social butterfly of dogs, from her early days at the dog park inciting a stampede to her faithful practice of greeting everyone she could who was nearby. She was our devoted travel companion over the years, from taking long walks on the beach to hiking trips into the mountains, she was happy doing it all, even just a ride to the store, as long as she got be with us. What made Bess so special was that her joy for life and enjoyment of it all made you appreciate those small pleasures of life too. The loss of Bess will always remain, but the happiness she brought to our lives will forever linger. Although the sorrow is still present, we take solace in knowing Bess is busy fetching newspapers, chasing cats and stealing tennis balls until we get to see her again.
