We adopted Sox when he was about 1 year old and gave him the name because of his adorable white socks for paws. He'd been found as a stray but knew enough that he had to have been someone's pet. Sox was always up to play and eager to please (especially if you had treats). He was great at stupid pet tricks. His bark was serious but he usually vocalized sounds more like a dolphin or velociraptor. He wasn't perfect but he was certainly perfect to me. At just 7 we learned too late that he had bone cancer and we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy. It was so sudden, so unexpected. My heart is broken.
