Maggie was adopted December 2009 from the Humain Society after I lost my beloved dog, Angel. When I first saw Maggie, she was a tiny kitten curled up in the cage with another kitten, Sweetpea, who was 1 month older. I had no intention of adopting 2 kittens but after spending time with both of them, I fell in love. They were a team and very happy together for these past 3 years. Maggie was the friendly one who greeted everyone entering my home, while Sweetpea was the shy one. However, they sure loved being with me and loved my 2 young grandchildren. Maggie was always so full of life and energy and looked after Sweetpea. She often covered up the litterbox after he used it, because he often would forget.
Due to an illness, Maggie died this past Good Friday. They had both accidently eaten some plastic which caused problems for both cats. Sweetpea recovered by Maggie required surgery. Dr. Bruce was confident that she would survive but her little body was just too weak. She died at the clinic during the night. I received a message from her through my alarm clock at 1:00 am saying goodbye. Sweetpea is still lost without her and so am I. She was so beautiful and such a wonderful friend - I was blessed to have her for those 3 short years.

I know she is with my dog, Angel, now and is at peace. Thank you Maggie for being my sweet little girl!
