Dolla

A donation was made in memory of Dolla on Oct 28, 2011.

Dolla was a very loving dog. We got her in 2006 from a friend who could no longer keep her. She was about 2 years old. It didn’t take long before Dolla captured our hearts. She was the craziest dog we ever had. She loved to play and would find the tiniest sticks to play fetch with. At night she would sneak into my room and wait at the edge of the bed for me to fall asleep. Then she would creep real slowly up the bed under the blankets until she was able to rest her head on the pillow. She would lay real still until she was sure I was not awake then sigh very loud and snuggle into the blankets. During the night I would wake up freezing because she would take the blankets and burrow herself in them like a cocoon. She loved to take baths and especially loved to go on walks. Her bark sounded so fierce and scary but the only threat was her licking you to a slobbery puddle. She was an amazing dog with such a gentle heart. My grandkids would climb all over her and she would just lie there, enjoying the attention. Dolla was one of the best dogs any pet lover could ask for. Our hearts were heavy when we had to out her down. The vet suspected cancer of the stomach. We tried whatever the vet suggested but after 6 weeks she just got worse so on July 4th, 2011, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and let her suffer no more. Dolla let me know it was time for us to let her go. She had fought a tough battle and is now living cancer free, chasing our kitty Toby who was hit by a car 2 weeks after we had to out Dolla down. We love our Dolla and Toby and miss them terribly.
Love Lisa, Kimmy and Hillary.
