Brinkley was my buddy, and always followed me around the house and yard. He was a "helper" -- if I read the newspaper, he sat on it. If I was on the computer, he sat on the keyboard. If I sewed, he sat on whatever I was sewing. If I was on the phone, he assumed I was talking to him and sat on my lap purring loudly. Brinkley was a Maine Coon mix, and had beautiful soft fur and a loud purr. He was great company for all of his 13 years, and I really miss him.
