Our dogs, as your letter said, are part of our family. This past 2 years, we have lost the original members of our “pack” – Lucy, an American Staffordshire (we think) terrier mix, who died at the age of 12, and most recently Boomer, our much loved little UKC beagle, who died last summer at the age of 14, after being with us for 12 years.
