Stumblin'

A donation was made in memory of Stumblin' by Doctors and Staff of the Elliott Bay Animal Hospital on Sep 09, 2011.

Stumblin' was 10 years old when lymphoma claimed her life. I adopted her 10 years ago when a good friend found her in distress while walking his dogs in our neighborhood at about 10 pm one night. She couldn't have been more than 4 weeks old and was all by herself, crying out and hungry, I raced over at my friend's call to say that a little "kitty needs some TLC," brought her home, bundled her up in a towel, and hoped for the best (fully expecting her to be gone in the morning). My current cat at the time stayed right next to her all night and, lo and behold, there she was in the morning... the rest is history and the two were an inseparable pair from that fateful night until her passing this summer. Stumblin' (or "Stumbellina," as we sometimes affectionately referred to her), lived a happy life, was diagnosed with lymphoma in March after significant weight loss, and thankfully, fattened up temporarily and was happy until the disease rapidly progressed over a week or two in June. Thanks for the opportunity to share her story.
