Tanner

A donation was made in memory of Tanner by Jo and Ken Donahoo on Jun 24, 2017.

Tanner gave us 15 wonderful years. He would have gone on longer but his body simply was giving out on him. Sadly, the day after his 15th birthday, we made the difficult decision to let him go. Our hearts are broken. Tanner touched so many lives. The 12 years he spent working in my classroom were such a blessing to me and my students. He listened to 100s of kids read, all while resting his head on their leg. He was patient with all, and in 2005, he was the Washington State Veterinary Association Animal Hall of Fame recipient. He was also featured in two newspaper articles. Tanner loved the attention and the kids. In his younger years, Tanner competed in rally obedience and agility...he greatly enjoyed butt-tucking around the ring and entertaining the kids who were ringside at the Seattle Kennel Club show. He was a great role model to Duncan and Kiefer, who will be lost without him. Rick and I feel fortunate to have shared 15 years with the sweet boy, but it is never long enough. Run free our sweet boy! 💕 We will miss you dearly, but your paw prints will always be on our hearts.
