Calvin's eyes said everything. The first time I saw him, while his litter mates ran around in the woods they called home, he sat between my feet and looked up with bright puppy eyes that said "I choose you". Those same beautiful golden brown eyes gave us a sideways glance or a long stare when he didn't want to do what we asked. Those playful eyes would light up as if they were bursting with laughter when he chased birds at the beach or got to ride in the car with us. Those soulful eyes told us he was scared of the thunder; or didn't want to be left behind when we traveled. Those loving eyes that told me it was time to let him go. His eyes told us so much over the 13+ years we had with him. I will never forget them. We love you and miss you, Calvin.
