A donation was made in memory of Bunker by
Doctors and Staff of the Redwood Animal Hospital on
Jan 19, 2010.
Around 14 years ago I was an active reservist in the US Navy Seabees. At that time we were looking for a new pet and one of the corpsman in my unit spent a great deal of time at the WSU veterinary school because of a relationship he had with a veterinary student. One day in conversation the subject of pets came up and I took the opportunity to ask my friend what he knew about dogs and what he felt was the best breed of dog based on my criteria. His suggestion was an Australian Cattle dog. I did some research on this breed and in fact agreed with his recommendation. I have had a number of dogs over my life time and I loved each and every one but Bunker was special. He was an unequalled companion, special in many, many ways and I have recommended his breed to many friends. So, in a way my life has now come a full circle, from the original recommendation from a WSU association to a memorial in his honor after his passing.
I truly appreciate the donation made by the Redwood Animal Hospital in Bunkers memory and for the service you provide that recognizes the special bond we have with our pets.
