Kaiser came to us in 1997 - we rescued him from a pet store. He was 6 months old and had never even walked on grass. He didn't know how to go up and down stairs or even how to jump up.

He has been our constant and faithful companion for the past 12 years, through lots of travels and adventures. His favorite thing was going in the RV to the beach, where he could run and play with our other Schnauzer Sadie and our German Shepherd "E". He also loved "snuggling" next to us in bed and was a great hot water bottle on cold winter nights.

He had the typical Schnauzer cocky attitude and desire to see what was around the bend of the road, and was a great escape artist, giving us several good scares over the years. He also loved getting up on the kitchen table and eating the sugar out of the sugar bowl. He'd stand there with his black whiskers all coated in sugar and look at you with those bright eyes, denying that he was the culprit.

We all miss him terribly, but are thankful that we could have 12 wonderful years of unconditional love and undying affection from him -- what more could one ask for?
