Dylan
February 1, 1997 - October 25, 2011
Our wonderful rescue dog Dylan lived to be nearly 15 years old. He was not the typical border collie, more like a couch potato than a herder. He was obsessed with chasing the light from any flashlight or laser beam. He could play with a hose and sprinkler for HOURS. We bought a garden hose just for him - which he bit and made into a drip hose. He loved people. He loved to snuggle on the couch between my husband and me every single evening. He never showed aggression towards children or adults. He truly loved children, and adored it anytime our nephew Ian visited.
We adopted Dylan when he was 5 years old from a then young veterinary student at WSU, Lisa Hedman, she is now a DVM. Lisa was fostering Dylan as part of the Border Collie Rescue organization. Lisa found him in a neglected state, and she brought him back to full health. We were so fortunate to have adopted Dylan from Lisa's excellent care, we will forever be grateful to her. Thanks also to Dr. Katherine Chan, Dr. Bruhn and Staff at North Creek Pet Hospital for their excellent veterinary care of Dylan.
