I am writing this about our beloved Persian-Siamese cat, Willow, who passed away on 3.3.2012. David & I would like to thank & acknowledge the wonderful caregivers at Northwest Vet. Hospital in Seattle & especially Drs. Whereat & Donovan for making a monetary donation to the WSU College of Vet. Medicine.
Willow was the last of our four cats. David adopted her in 1989 & gave her the name of Willow since she resembled a pussywillow as a kitten. If ever there was a creature that both a princess-diva & a fierce warrior, it was she. She had endured some health issues in the last few years, but still managed to live to the impressive age of 22 years & 8 months. David & I joked that she was the sole survivor over the others in order to obtain all of our kisses, attention & unlimited wet kitty food !! She even got to travel with us to Cannon Beach, OR & also to Lake Chelan.
The house is exceptionally quiet & a bit lonlier with less fine blonde kitty hair wafting around. Willow had gone deaf a few years back; we even miss her own use of "echolocation" to determine where her people were. She was a cherished member of our household, as were our others. She will be missed greatly but certainly never forgotten.
