Sophie joined our family at twelve weeks old in 2006 when I adopted her from our local animal shelter. She was a beautiful cat with the personality of an entitled princess. She was not a cuddly cat, but she enjoyed sharing space with me while purring loudly. Her favorite pastime was talking to and drinking water, so much so that we had four water bowls and she claimed all of them for herself (the other cat and dogs had to wait until she was not around to get a drink). Her sweet face and her purr will forever hold a place in my heart.
