Zamboni

A donation was made in memory of Zamboni by Doctors and Staff of the Vista Veterinary Hospital on May 10, 2010.

Zamboni was a sleek, all black, velvety, purry, faithful companion whom we enjoyed for nearly 13 years. We acquired him in July of 1997 from a friend’s farm near Prescott, WA where he had been dumped along with his litter mates. “Bozy” was so very healthy for so many years. Then in early 2009 he was diagnosed hyperthyroid and successfully treated with radioactive iodine. For almost a year after that he enjoyed good health. Then early in 2010 he had herpes infection in one eye and went downhill from there, and tested positive for FIV (feline version of AIDS) and left this world on February 3, 2010. We loved him and he loved us. He is greatly missed!

Thank you to Vista Veterinary Hospital for their donation to the WSU vet school and for their excellent care of Zamboni. Also thank you to The Cat’s Meow Feline Veterinary Clinic (in Spokane) for the radioactive iodine treatment . In addition, thank you to Animal Eye Care (in Pasco) for their excellent care of Zamboni.
