On January 25, 2010 my Little Sunshine, Winnie, passed away. I was blessed with 18 years and 10 wonderful months with her. I was 13 when she came into my life. Time goes so quickly, I still remember her as a little fluffball along with her siblings hiding on my grandfather's patio. We bonded right from the start and has been my companion, friend and cherished member of my family since. I grew up with her and through the years she acquired many nicknames, each one suiting her very well. It now is so quiet without her presence and none of her names to call out anymore.
Last summer Winnie was diagnosed with cancer. She had always been a strong-willed girl, that saying, she fought an extremely tough battle. But the cancer came back and became too much for her to battle anymore.
Although she is no longer physically with me, I know she is with me all the time. She was always my Angel and then she became one of God's Angels too. It has been very hard not having her around but I know that she is happy and healthy now. I am looking forward to seeing her beautiful face again one day.
I love you so much Winnie and thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness into my life. You will always hold the most special place in my heart. Mommy will love you forever and ever.
