A donation was made in memory of Sydney by

Sydney came to us at 9 weeks old. Our two sons weren't thrilled that she was a girl, but she quickly became our best friend, confidante, and the best nurse we could ask for. She had such a huge personality that led to many nicknames - Fleece Hog, Obi Crumb Kenobi, Arthy the Arthritis Beagle and The Fluff among them. Sydney loved blankets, pillows, and sleeping up close to us like no dog we've ever known. She never missed an opportunity to have pizza, popcorn, peanut butter or Cheez-Its. She followed her nose many times and we'd have to run through the neighborhood to chase her. Once we were all out searching for her only to find she was on the deck the entire time between her two grandfathers, who hadn't heard the commotion. Her crumb hunting once led her to discover a garbage bag full of thrown out pasta, which resulted in a trip to the vet to induce vomiting. She was terrorized for years by two rabbits in the yard we called Trix and Lucky. Thankfully, she never did catch them. In her last year, she opened her heart to Buddy, a rescue dog from Aruba, and showed him he would be safe and loved here. She taught him so much - the good and bad. We are so appreciative of her vet, Donald Cox, for giving us 15 years and 9 months with our girl. We will love and miss her forever.
