Princess Forever loved, forever missed

Princess came into our lives when she was already 7 years old. We hadn’t planned to bring a dog into our home at that time, but adopting her turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made.

After learning about the neglect she had endured, we made it our mission to give her all the love, care, and attention she had missed. Slowly, she blossomed—emerging from her shell into the joyful, trusting, and spirited dog she was always meant to be.

She was our velcro pup, always by our side—unless a ball or leash appeared. Then, she became pure energy and purpose. She lived for the thrill of fetching. Her drive was so intense we had to be careful not to overdo it—because Princess never had an “off” switch. And when the weather allowed, her true passion came alive: swimming. She was a water dog through and through.

Princess left her paw prints across seven states and even in Canada. After several years in Colorado, we moved to Seattle—and Princess treated the Pacific Northwest as her own playground. Rain, waves, low tides or high—nothing stopped her from leaping joyfully into the Puget Sound, chasing the ever-elusive rubber ball between the waves. She was a true sea dog.

She had only a few medical scares in her life, and even in her final days, she remained a happy pup—never acknowledging the limits her aging body tried to place on her.

Princess was fiercely loved. Her absence is felt every moment of every day. But we are endlessly grateful for the joy, laughter, and unconditional love she gave us. She made our lives brighter, fuller, and more beautiful.
