Zorro, the mighty 6 to 7 year old, eight pound Chihuahua, grabbed my heart the moment we met, as he sat in the arms of Noreen, a volunteer for the Bill Foundation, a dog rescue organization. I immediately said "I want him", so he came to live with my husband and me for the next 9 years. During those nine years Zorro gave us more love than we could ever give him. He was totally devoted to me, wanting to be wherever I was and I was devoted to him.
.
He loved to lick Bob's face, giving him a gently facial. This delightful behavior was balanced against challenges, such as wanting to sit close to Bob, licking his hand, then turning on the hand as though it was the enemy, and/or going into rages at the sight of another dog during a walk or while visiting the Vet.
If we could have been granted a wish it would have been that Zorro never got sick or grew old. We are now struggling to learn how to live without the grumpy, bossy little guy. We love you forever darling Zorro.
