Chase was bought for my son. It was for Valentine's day. He had been asking for a dog for a long time. It was before his 7th birthday. Chase was a calm puppy that loved attention. My son really lives to play and Chase quickly learned to follow that example. Unfortunately there was something wrong with Chase. When we took him to the vet at age 1 we never suspected that he would become very sick very quickly. The day my son turned 8, after several visits to the vet, we found out that he had an illness that he would not recover from. Even after returning home for 1 more day it was not until the last couple hours before he passed that he gave any sign that he felt sick. I am deeply grateful for the time my son shared with his beautiful pet.
