Thanks for your condolence letter re: our beloved Shimmy, aka Shimster, aka Ferdinand (he loved to stop and smell the flowers), aka Cocoa Puff, aka Love Hog, ah he had many nicknames. He shared our lives with us and our kids for nearly fourteen years. Quite independent, occasionally unruly, absolutely an alpha male, Shimmy kept us on our toes. I have great memories of his roaming around our property and the surrounding community on Lopez Island, going off for his private explorations and coming home happy and wet, having taken a swim on his own time.
