Bonnie

A donation was made in memory of Bonnie by Dr. Rance Sellon on Mar 21, 2018.

I first met Bonnie in Spring of 2008 through the ERU (Eskie Rescuers United) branch out of Spokane. My purpose was to adopt two other Eskies, but it was Bonnie who ran up to me and gave me a big kiss. Everyone was shocked because she had never done that before with anyone. So I adopted her instead or it was her who adopted me.

As I very quickly discovered, Bonnie was extremely aggressive towards other dogs and anyone in general that wasn't me. She was also a power-walker; she wanted her walks... the longer, the better. And that is exactly what we did together every available time. Heaven forbid if I didn't take her for a walk because she would come up to me and huff in pouting expression. As time went on, she was always waiting by the door for me when I arrived home and sometimes, I still don't know how, she would have pulled her leash off its hook and be sitting by it, giving me the message. It was her who kept me in shape.

So take care little girl, one day we will walk together again.
