September 21, 2016. Sad Day! Our beloved Maggie didn't feel well this morning so we took her in for what we assumed would be a simple fix or at the most a ball or toy in her tummy. To our great shock and sadness she had a very large cancerous tumor on her spleen and was in bad shape. She was all up and go, and woke up sick. We had no choice but to let her go. We will remember her antics for the rest of our days: missing sandwiches from the counter, thawing steaks that disappeared, oh and the buried items - couch cushion, shoes, toys, UPS parcels. If it could fit in her mouth, it could be buried. May she play ball and swim with her friend Cindy (the black lab) in doggie heaven for many years to come! She would have been 10 on Oct 12th!
