TWO LITTLE PUPPIES
by Terri S.
(IN MEMORY of TYKE 1998-2010)
Two little puppies, both little males
Two little puppies with curly tails
Two little puppies, looked exactly alike
Two little puppies, soft, furry and white
Two little puppies, which one should I take?
One little puppy, wiggled and wagged
One little puppy, his countenance sagged
One little puppy licked my face and was glad
One little puppy hid his eyes and was sad
Two little puppies, a decision to make.
One little puppy wanted to play
One little puppy just wanted to lay
One little puppy, the pick of the litter
One little puppy, his health could be better
Two little puppies, which one shall I take?
One little puppy, friendly black eyes
One little puppy, “I'm frightened,” he cries
One little puppy, robust and strong
One little puppy, there's something wrong
Two little puppies, a decision I make.
One little puppy came home that day
One little puppy learned how to play
One little puppy was left behind
One little puppy, put out of my mind.
Two little puppies, but I picked the best.
One little puppy, his eyes were not sad.
One little puppy, wagged his tail and was glad.
One little puppy, it was meant to be.
One little puppy, God sent him to me.
Two little puppies, I made the right choice.
My little puppy, you need extra care
For you, little puppy, I'll always be there
My sweet little puppy lived twelve happy years
But for this little puppy, I shed many tears
My sweet little puppy, there are no regrets.
One little puppy, I love you so
One little puppy, I can't let you go
One little puppy, don't give up the fight
For you, little puppy, I'll pray through the night
My sweet little puppy, how will I know?
One little puppy, my very best friend
One little puppy was true to the end
One little puppy wagged his tail one last time
One little puppy, his eyes gave me the sign
