Grettle was a very special part of our lives. From the very first moment we met her we knew that we rescued a dog with a one of a kind personality. The energy she had, coupled with an overly expressive ears, brought joy into our lives immediately as we shared many adventures together: hiking, gallops around dog parks, summer nights at Alki Beach, romping around Gretchen's family's cabin near Lake Tahoe and walks throughout our neighborhood. She was our first 'dog' child and as our children were born you became a 'big' dog sister. She kept Ben company on early morning walks when the kids couldn't sleep at night. She was a fantastic companion for Gretchen as transitioned to being a stay at home mom into a working mom. To her very last days, Grettle always welcome her family home with big, helicopter swooping tail wags and bright eyes and ears that showed her happiness to be part of our pack. We will never forget Grettle and how much she brought joy to our lives.
